Regional Delegate Scholarships
What is a Regional Scholarship?
The Regional Scholarship supports librarians who may not otherwise be able to attend the National Forum due to factors such as library size, geographic isolation, or limited budgets.
Designed to ensure emerging leaders, who may not otherwise have the opportunity, can attend the National Forum.
This year we are offering two scholarships--one in-person and one virtual.
Who is eligible?
PLNZ members who face challenges due to size, isolation, or budget constraints that would otherwise prevent them from attending.
What is included?
The in-person scholarship covers:
Return flights to Christchurch
Two nights’ accommodation
(Additional nights may be arranged in discussion with successful candidates)Ground transport
Full registration to the National Forum
One Gala Dinner ticket
There is one scholarships available in 2026.
The virtual scholarship covers:
Streaming for you and your library
How do I apply?
Please email (subject line: PLNZ Regional Scholarship) tania@publiclibrareis.org.nz your contact details (or the details of your nominee) along with a brief response to the following:
Why should [name of nominee] be selected to attend the 2026 PLNZ National Forum | Kura Huna?
Please include any relevant information outlining why this person may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend.
